Hey Everyone!!!!!!

Happy April!!!!!
Tax day has officially come and gone, and yes, I was one of the unlucky few who braved the post office on Monday. I stood on line for about 45 minutes and watched 2 people in line fight, as well as another woman go "postal" on one of the employees over basically nothing. People don't like to wait. Especially where I live, I notice everything is fast paced, all the time, and when the pace slows people can't cope. I actually felt really bad for the employee...I wonder how many agitated people she had to deal with that day....

Anyway, enough of that.

We got hit with a massive Nor-Easter this weekend in Jersey. Just about everyone I know had some type of water in their house, and for the first time in my life, I witnessed cars floating away at my local mall. So surreal to see. It took me & Marta 3 different attempts to get home from my local Target because all the regular routes I take were closed due to flooding. My own home was affected as well, with water in my basement, a crack in my foundation, and 3 leaks in my attic. I am actually headed into my basement later on to continue the clean up. Amazing what some rain and wind can do....Grrrr......

I also wanted to address the Virginia Tech shooting. One of the saddest days I can remember, aside from 9-11, which I could see from a few blocks from where I live when the WTC was burning.

Some tragedies are just too hard to comprehend, and how someone could have so much hate is just beyond me. My prayers are with all of those who were affected, and with the families who had loved ones ripped from their lives so tragically and suddenly.

Okay, now onto happier and more upbeat things, cause I really don't want to depress you all.......

:~)
Training has been going well....I am training Strongman Style again, and learning the techniques that I had never nailed before. 3 weeks ago I had a great workout with the Strongman crew I train with, doing a 110 pound farmers walk with a 600 pound tire flip medley. I was able to flip the tire on my own 3 times, and was spotted thru another 3 reps. Then I did a 110 pound sandbag load for sets of 15 reps on a platform to mimick the atlas stone event. The week prior I began to learn an axle clean and press, which I finally nailed the form on last week. I feel comfortable on the split stance and have learned the use my legs to make the weight pop....very different from bodybuilding style training which you want to use strict form with planted feet....but I am pretty happy with the progress....you can see some of the pics my good buddy X-tina was kind enough to take for me! :~)

I also got to see 300! What an awesome visual movie....very comicbook'esq....but I think that was the idea, lol! I have to say I have never seen a movie with so many ab's in it, hahah. Just made you wanna run out and do some crunches! ;~) It earns an "Official Heather Lee Movie Rating" of a B+...the CGI was just so cool!

I also trained with Elena Seiple(www.elenaseiple.com)last week! We haven't trained together in ages and it was good to reconnect again. She is coaching one of my figure clients on her posing for me since she is a posing master! And just wait to you see this girl and the improvements she has made in the last year and a half working with me....she is going to clean house at the show I am putting her in....pics will be coming in the next few weeks to my site!

Well all, that is about it for now....I leave you with some pics since I have been slacking on my photos of the day! Enjoy!

'Till next time,
Keep pumpin' hard!!!
XXOO
Heather Lee
