Hey Everyone!!!
My gosh it has been awhile since I wrote~last time I dropped by I was going to recount to you my little Florida trip and put some pics up but for some reason I kept getting an error message when I tried to upload anything~and guess what? My server space for my website was full! Hah! So all 19,000 photos that were on my site, along with my 4 years worth of journal entries, video clips, girlfriends, and everything else all had to be switched over to a new server. For those of you trying to access my site during that time I apologize for the downtime but hey, considering we have been up and running since 2001 one little bout of downtime isn't too bad! So now, here I am and here we are....
What's been going on lately...where to begin? Well I had a nice little trip down to Florida~9 days of rest and relaxation~beach and LOTS of Margaritas~~MMMmm my favorite! I have wanted to move down there for years now and am convinced that sometime in the next few years that will actually happen...I love NJ but there is something about that state...the sunshine, the warm weather, the green grass and flowers all year long...so nice...So what I was thinking was if I move, would I become heatherleefla.com, hah! Nah, always a jersey girl at heart...heatherleenj.com would have to stay... :~) But we stayed in Tampa with my in-laws~they moved down there last year and have a gorgeous house...nice pool, jacuzzi...and there are actually a lot of gyms in the area! I trained at Tera Guzman's gym when I was down there for a shoot a few years ago with Elena~nice little place...good training environment...so there is potential to move gym-wise... Hmmm, maybe a few more years...
Let's see, what else did we do...We went to Tarpon Springs~the sponge capital of the world~they have those awesome little natural sea sponges all over the place for sale there~it's a Greek town so they have all these nice little places to eat...if you like Gyro's they are all awesome there! We went to the beach a lot too...Drove from Clear Water to Saint Petersburg...wow, it's like being in a whole other world~almost like on a Carribean Island. GORGEOUS! I would be such a beach bum if I lived in that area...
When I got back we started construction on our house so that has been crazy~finished the last 2 rooms we needed to redo, and they are almost done~by next week it should all be back to normal.
Oh, and I have had some AWESOME photoshoots. First I did another bodypainting photoshoot with Les from the very awesome DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY out o NJ, and NERO, who is quite an amazing artist! Maria once again shot with me, and you have to see the pictures...You would never know we were painted, LOL! It actually looks like clothes! see, Sports Illustrated ain't got nuttin' on us, HAH!
Then the next day I shot with Brian Moss~he really has an amazing eye for photography. He sent up this gym~it is a 70's themed gym with authentic equipment, photos, posters~it's like being transported back in time~the fact that he sought out everything authentic from that time frame to create his vision just really amazed me. The man saw something and he went to great lengths to put it all together and it really shows. He is someone who loves what he does.
Last night I went to go and see Silent Hill. Ok, now I know I haven't down a movie review in a loong time~but let me tell you, this one was a STINKER with a CAPITAL S! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! It was so bad people actually walked out on it...we were actually laughing at what was supposed to be scary~and the acting was ATROCIOUS!!! This one get an Official Heather Lee Movie Rating of an F!!! Not an easy rating to get so it must have been really bad!
Well all, that's it for now, at least I played catch up, LOL!!! Hey Everyone!!!!!
Thank Goodness it is finally the weekend!!! I told you guys I so look forward to them now...I feel like I never get to sit and rest anymore, LOL!! But, on the otherhand I am all excited because I am heading to Florida this week on vacation~ROADTRIP BABY!!! I love roadtrips! My favorite are motorcycle trips but this one is going to be via car, but still bound to be an adventure!
I have been running around like crazy lately, so much going on! Where to begin? Well, for starters there are a lot of new treats coming to my site, lots of new fresh faces you guys should really enjoy! I have been taking some of my new girls on photoshoots with me and they are like old pro's already! Just wait till you see the pictures...
Claudia and Elena both competed in the Stronger Then All 2 Strongman Contest in Connecticut~as did several of our other training partners, and they all kicked ass...We had 4 guys and 2 girls competing and they all put on really strong showings! The events this year were absolutely brutal~the chain yolk walk, the thomas inch dumbell clean and press, the deadlift for reps, the log clean and press, and finally the medley, with the Conans Walk using the chain yolk, then the keg walk, finishing up with the duck walk. The chain turned out to be one of the most brutal of all strongman apparatus because as you move it swings, so a lot of it was a matter of controling the device...a lot of people took hard spills this event and it was really tough. The men had one pro-card up for grabs in the lightweight class, none for the ladies.

A special CONGRATS TO CLAUDIA WHO TOOK FIRST IN THE LADIES HW CLASS, AND TO ELENA WHO TOOK SECOND IN THAT CLASS!!! YOU BOTH MAKE ME PROUD!!! I will say it was nice for once to be a spectator at a contest instead of competing!!! I got to show my love and work the camera and the video camera, LOL!! Nice relaxing day for me hah!! The boys ranged from 5th to 13th, taking home some cool tee-shirts and goodies! More strongman contests are coming up this spring and summer and I will be competing...stay tuned for details!
I had an awesome photoshoot with the always brilliant LES FROM DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY! One of my great new finds, Maria, tagged along and we shot some really sexy new stuff...check out the members section in the next few weeks for the goodies...Maria wil be stepping onstage later this year in her first figure show!! Also getting ready to compete is Nicole, who you can see in the back training gallery with me that went up last night. Nicole will be competing in figure this June for the first time and is sure to look awesome onstage! These 2 are definitly worth watching....
